What is the Application Timeline and Process?
The Puyallup School District Scholarship Application and Award Process consists of eight steps, two of which you will complete online.
You may save your application as you fill it out, enabling you to leave and return without losing information, until you're ready to complete and submit it.
To do this, you will need to sign up with JotForm using an email address when prompted. To return, use the link sent to your email address and log back into your application.
You will receive an email confirmation of submission once it is successfully completed.
Step 1: Gather Information
Gather Basic Application Information, Letters of Recommendation, and Special Scholarship-Specific Forms (if required) based on the scholarships you want to apply for.
See the “For PSD Students Only” tab on the “Scholarship Directory” web page to view the full list of available scholarships and their specific requirements.
Step 2: Complete and Submit Application
Answer the questions on the online application pages.
Remember to save your progress by using the SAVE button available at the bottom of each page. The application cannot be submitted until all the required components are completed.
Once you are finished entering and/or uploading required information, you will need to acknowledge that you agree to have your application and unofficial transcript shared with the scholarship donors/committees.
The final online step is to use the SUBMIT button to officially upload your full application by the application deadline.
Step 3: Submission Confirmation
You will see a thank you page once the application is successfully submitted.
Step 4: Scholarship Application Review
Applications are reviewed by scholarship donors and/or committees for award selections.
Step 5: Interviews (if required)
Some scholarship selection teams may require interviews for scholarship finalists.
If you are one of those selected, you will receive an appointment date/time for your assigned interview which will be held during the school day at the building you attend.
Step 6: Selection List
Once all scholarship recipients have been selected, each school will receive a scholarship award list (with donor/student names and contact information) to make arrangements for the scholarship award announcements.
Step 7: Scholarship Award Announcements
Depending on your school, the award announcements will be made at a Scholarship Award Event.
Students being awarded scholarships will be invited to attend the event that is held annually in May. See your school event calendar for specific information.
Step 8: Receipt/Payment of Scholarship Monies
Students must provide donors with their student id number for the institution they will be attending.
Monies are generally paid directly to the schools on the student’s behalf. If you change your mind on a school, or transfer before your scholarship money is used up, you will need to update your donor with that information.
If you lose your donor contact information, you can contact the College & Career Readiness office (bussemm@puyallupsd.org) for help.
Online application will be available on February 2, 2026. The application deadline will be noon on Friday, March 6, 2026.
